Southeast Sales Agronomist Tracking Code 803-554 Job Description This position is responsible for gaining incremental business to end-user accounts and customer relationship management. This individual must possess a strong understanding of sound agronomic practices. The role includes an array of technical selling services, as well as managing, maintaining and growing the base business in the assigned regional geography. + Provide technical support to customers on the use of granular, liquid, water soluble and blended controlled release agricultural fertilizers used in Agriculture. + Sales efforts will include qualifying prospects; uncovering key account needs; creating distributor and grower relationships; and implementing financially sound end user marketing programs that leverage significant sales growth with appropriate contribution to profit. + Serve as product steward for all products to assure their proper use and disposal in accordance with all applicable safety and regulatory guidelines and Good Agronomic Practices (GAP). + Participate in safety training and adhere to ICL policies on Environment Health and Safety. + Prospecting for new opportunity crop segments in Southeast North American Agriculture. + Complete participation and embracement of the Everris CRM tool. + Set proper trial protocols against the competition and other technologies. + Know and understand the financial expectations of the sales budget. + Ability to build relationships both internal and external. Required Skills + Analytical skills including ability to read and understand nutritional values relating to soil, water and plant material. + Must be able to manage personal goals, corporate objectives and keep a customer centric focus. + Excellent oral and written communication skills. + Computer skills to include: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Map Point + Must have excellent decision making and problem solving skills. + Demonstrated ability to contribute in a team setting. + The position will be home based and can be anywhere in the Southeast US. + Must be able to travel up to 50%. Required Experience + Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy or related field with coursework in plant science, soil science, plant health and plant nutrition. + Five+ years experience as an Agricultural Sales Agronomist. + Experience developing complete nutrient management programs following Good Agronomic Practices (GAP). + Experience in agricultural plant nutrition.
