Job Title: Clerk Reports To: Operations Manager
Department: Operations Location: Oahu Operations
FLSA Status: Non:Exempt
The clerk is responsible for filing correspondence, cards, invoices, receipts, and other records in alphabetical or numerical order or according to the filing system used. Locate and remove material from file when requested.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
:Scan or read incoming materials in order to determine how and where they should be classified or filed
:Find and retrieve information from files in response to requests from authorized users
:Place materials into storage receptacles (i.e., file cabinets, boxes, bins, or drawers) according to classification and identification information
:Sort or classify information according to guidelines (i.e., content, purpose, user criteria, or chronological, alphabetical, or numerical order)
:Eliminate outdated or unnecessary materials, destroying or transferring them to inactive storage according to file maintenance guidelines and/or legal requirements
:Add new material to file records, and create new records as necessary
:Adhere to all company policies and procedures
:Adhere to and comply with Information Systems security. Know and follow Information Systems security policies and procedures. Attend Information Systems security training, when offered. Report Information Systems security problems.

:Meet deadlines, working within tight time constraints
:Handle a large volume of work
:Identify pertinent information from data on reports or other documents
:Process batches with accuracy and attention to detail
:Meet or exceed established standards for productivity and quality
:Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Licensing/Certification: High School Diploma or GED required
Experience: Six (6) months prior clerical experience preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
:Knowledge of date and alpha order filing process
:Knowledge of HIPAA requirements
:Proficient with office equipment including, photocopier, scanner, fax etc
:Effective alphabetizing, sorting and organization skills with an emphasis on attention to detail
:Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, in English
